Going Crackers!

Well, I do hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  Don't the weeks just fly by? I do apologise, I haven't had chance to post for a while but I now have a few crackers to share with you!  I hope you like them, please let me know what you think.

I bought the Bigshot Pro Candy Shaped Box die and made 3 different types of Christmas Cracker and 1 design of New Year Cracker for various groups of friends.

For the first and second cracker, I embossed the silver mirri card using the Embossalicious Holly Embossing Folder.  I cut an oval from glitter card using a Craftstoo punch, I then punched a shape from the EK Success Punch, Garland Daisy on which to arrange my flowers.  The flowers were roses and cherry blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I used the Martha Stewart Branch punch to make some sprigs to surround my flowers. The ribbon was from a local store.

Cracker number three was created using materials from my own stash.  I cut out Spellbinders Pointsettias from white card and before I released them from the die, I used Distress Ink, Walnut Stain to colour the leaf spines/veins.  The sprig is a Cottage Cutz die, Elites Winter Pine Branch.  I laid the Pointsettas up and placed them on a large Pointsettia cut out of plain brown card and decorated the centre with a gold coloured bead.

The fourth cracker was again made using card from my own stash.  I used the Marianne Champagne Glass die, cutting 2 glasses for each cracker, from gold mirri card.  I overlapped and then glued them.  I typed and printed own sentiments using my computer and then cut them out using the Spellbinder small circle die and layered them onto one of the dies from Spellbinders Majestic Elements.  I cut 3 sprigs from my Nellie Snellen Floral Punch and 1 Mini Fanciful Flourish from Cheery Lynn die and arranged them around my Champagne Glasses.  All ribbon was from a local store.

Happy New Year all!

All Booked Up!

Well Hello, I am hoping that everyone had a good day today.  We had a lovely time making the Swinging Around card, everyone was in good spirits and many a chuckle was had!  We barely stopped for our lunch as we were having such fun but one of my friends had made a gorgeous lemon meringue (in fact, she made 2!) so with that in mind, we hurriedly munched our sandwiches so we could get to the best bit and we weren't disappointed!!  We are all looking forward to our meeting next week now for more fun and craftiness!

Once again, I have chosen some altered art for today's entry.  I covered both the inside and the outside of this book in Magnolia paper.  For the background of the decoration in the centre, I have used Spellbinders Diamond Effects die and Enchanted Labels 28 die.  The white layer beneath the sentiment is the centre of Marianne Anja's Large Oval die and the sentiment itself is mounted on a Spellbinders Oval die.  The foliage is created from Memory Box Fresh Foliage die and the Lorelai Leaf die with Martha Stewart's punch, small Hydrangea Flowers on the tips. The little punched leaf is one of my favourites by Nellie Snellen.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the lace, pearls and ribbon are from my own stash. Hope you find this pleasing to the eye.  Bye for now, take care, hugs, Annie x

Atishoo - Don't Mind if I Do!

Good Morning Blog Friends

Well last night was relatively quiet of fireworks! I was quite surprised really but inwardly glad to be honest, for all the animals both domestic and wild.  A busy day yesterday, hay being delivered and then lots of cutting out, ready for cardmaking ladies tomorrow!  I am really looking forward to it!  The ladies will be doing "Swinging Around" the blue card with the birds on it below - there are alot of elements to it surprisingly!  Hope you will like today's entry, a little different - I have shown a tissue box which I have decorated - altered art!!  Have a good day - hugs Annie xx

I have shown you two pictures so that you can see the side a little more clearly.  I have covered the box in Magnolia paper.  I punched my border with Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Punch Around the Page punch.  For the top of the box, I have surrounded the opening with part of Spellbinders Majestic Labels Twenty-Five and fringed the aperture with pearls.  The leaves are made from the Cheery Lynn Flourish and Marianne Elegant die, Martha Stewart Branch and Xcut Botanical Embossing Punch.  I have used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and white ribbon from my own stash for the bows. On the front of the box, I used a Bazzill Basics Template to make a pattern then added small pearls.  Something a little different today folks!

Lace & Roses

Hi to you all.  I am wondering if you, like us here in Essex, have had a lot of rain? It certainly has made the ground very wet so my horses stayed in this morning.  Their paddocks were saturated and to be honest, they would rather be in their warm stables, munching on some yummy hay than paddling around like ducks in the puddles! Wishing you warm, sunny thoughts! Hugs Annie x

The card for Tuesday has a Heartfelt Layered Elegant Swirl die for the fancy top.  The centre is made up from the Spellbinders Detailed Scallop die followed by Marianne Small Oval.  The removable sliding band once again uses Spellbinders Detailed Scallop die and the flourish is Cheery Lynn.  The small green leaves are punched with a Nellie Snellen punch and the roses and stamens are from my stash.

Love in a Swirl!

Good Morning Everyone!  I hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed whatever you were doing.  We had quite a few firework parties in this area over the weekend and I guess they will be going on for several nights yet as we don't reach Guy Fawkes Night officially until Tuesday.  We have lots of horses around us and they were a little worried by all the zooms and bangs, you can't expect animals to understand that the humans are only having fun!  I guess all domestic and wild animals will be glad when all the firework parties are over and they can sleep peacefully and without being scared.

My entry for today is made with Heartfelt Tattered Blossom dies & stamp. The background is made using Spellbinders Shapeabilities Expandable Pattern Botanical Swirls, the central doily is Spellbinders Stately Circles, layered with Spellbinders Labels 22, and the sentiment is stamped onto Marianne Anja's Squares.  I have used Marianne Elegance die and Memory Box      die for the accents behind the flowers. The paper and ribbon is from my stash.  The accent on the bow is a Creative Expressions Dazzler. Hope this card appeals to you. All the best, hugs, Annie x
